Tools needed:
Table Saw for angled cut along roof line and eaves
Table Saw or Mitre Saw to cut lengths and 30° peak roof
Hole Saw (optional) to cut holes in end panels so that the birds can keep an eye on predators.
Screw Driver
Counter Sink
Drill
Drill Bits
Hammer

Materials:
I use 1in x 6in fence boards for the cedar panels; just pick ones without too many knots. They come in 48in and 60in lengths and longer.

You can make 2 feeders out of 1 board @ 1in x 6in x 4ft plus 1 board @ 1in x 6in x 5ft, so the plans have been drawn to account for a second feeder if you want one, to save waste.

For 1 feeder only:
1in x 6in x 54in cedar (a 5ft fence board works well)
(actual size will be somewhere around 3/4in x 5.25in x 5ft because of loss due to planning at the mill).
3/4in x 3/4in x 24in for lip to keep seeds in. (exact thickness is not too important)
12 @ 1.5in zinc plated screws
4 @ 1.25in zinc plated nails
Silicone sealer
72in String or wire for hanging the feeder
Waterproof glue (optional)
